Edward A. Daniels joined our practice in 2004 after working
for a number of years as a sole practitioner and contract attorney. Mr. Daniels
has previously served as a contract attorney to the San Mateo County
Counsel’s office, as a research attorney and court investigator for the San Mateo
County Superior Court, as a court investigator for the San Francisco Superior
Court, and as an attorney for a local non-profit environmental law firm. Since
1994, Mr. Daniels has concentrated his legal practice in the areas of trusts and
estates, probate, conservatorships, commercial law, business entity formation
and real estate law.
While in law school, Mr. Daniels successfully completed an
internship with the Environmental Law and Institutions Unit of the United
Nations Environment Programme at its world headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. His
primary project at UNEP was the drafting of one of the original briefing
documents for the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee that developed the
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which was adopted at the
Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. Mr. Daniels later served as co-editor,
as well as making original contributions, to a published textbook on
International Environmental Law.
In the community, Mr. Daniels has served as a board member
and volunteer legal counsel to a local non-profit organization and as a
volunteer firefighter. He is currently a volunteer with the
San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department Dive/Cliff/Marine Unit.
