The firm has been instrumental in the restoration of Courtroom A in San Mateo County’s historic Old Courthouse in Redwood City. United States Supreme
Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who as a young assistant district attorney prosecuted her first cases in Courtroom A, was the main speaker at the inaugural in
September of 2004 when the Judge’s bench was dedicated in her honor.
The members of this firm were instrumental in the refurbishing effort,
especially through fund raising activities. Senior Partner, George Corey, was
chairman of the Courtroom A Restoration Committee and members of this firm
participated in all phases of the renovation leading up to the courtroom
dedication. We will continue efforts to improve and restore Courtroom A as a
key part of San Mateo County’s legal history and the crowning jewel in the San Mateo County History Museum.
Here you can see part of the architectural highlight of Courtroom A, the large stained glass dome. The reconstruction of the main entrance portico and steps of the Old Courthouse was completed in 2006, restoring the facade of the Renaissance Revival-style building to its original 1910 appearance.
