Xavier E. Harris Corey Law

Mr. Harris is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. Shortly after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Go Tigers!), Mr. Harris uprooted his life in Missouri and moved to Los Angeles, California. Thereafter, Mr. Harris lived and worked in West Hollywood to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. However, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, those plans were cut short. Mr. Harris then pivoted his career to the legal field. Since his first year at Golden Gate University School of Law, Mr. Harris interned, clerked, and worked as an associate at various law firms specializing in transactional matters, estate planning, civil litigation, and criminal appellate matters.

As an associate attorney at a boutique law firm in San Francisco, Mr. Harris represented plaintiffs in elder abuse and medical malpractice matters and defendants in corporate litigation matters. Mr. Harris was instrumental in receiving favorable outcomes for clients on death row in resentencing proceedings, PAGA plaintiffs in adversarial bankruptcy proceedings, defendants in derivative shareholder suits, and plaintiffs in elder abuse matters. Mr. Harris also drafted briefings on behalf of a client on death row on direct appeal to the Supreme Court of California.

In his spare time, Mr. Harris enjoys an active lifestyle that includes lifting weights, riding his bike, and going for long hikes in the Bay Area. When he is not feeling so active, Mr. Harris enjoys facetiming his family in St. Louis.
